Reishi is a mushroom originating in Asian countries, known for its therapeutic properties on the body and mind. Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon in warm water, tea or coffee, or add to broths, miso soup, smoothies and desserts.

AUTUMN MORNING REISHI BREW

  • 1 cup almond milk (homemade is recommended)
  • 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of maca powder
  • 1 teaspoon of reishi powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • generous pinch ground clove
  • 1/2 of vanilla bean or a pinch of vanilla powder
  • 2 teaspoons of maple syrup or coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil (optional)
  1. In a mug or bowl, whisk together cocoa, maca, reishi, cinnamon and cloves.
  2. In a saucepan on medium heat, warm the almond milk, vanilla bean and maple syrup.
  3. When milk is hot, pour a little bit into the bowl and whisk mixture into thin paste. Gradually add remaining milk and whisk until entirely dissolved. If using coconut oil, whisk it in now. Test and adjust sweetness to taste.
  4. Enjoy!

REISHI CHOCOLATE LATTE

  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon of cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon of reishi mushroom powder
  • 2 teaspoon of coconut oil
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1.5 tablespoons of maple syrup or coconut sugar (add less or more to taste)
  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender. 
  2. Blend on high until creamy and smooth, for about 30 seconds. The mixture will be frothy.
  3. Pour into mugs and savor every sip!
